  • Chocolate Mousse
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup melted chocolate
  • Topping
  • 6 crushed Oreos
  • Chocolate shavings
  • Whipped cream

Method
 

  1. Crush Oreos and mix with melted butter.
  2. Press into a springform pan to form crust.
  3. Chill for 15 minutes.
  4. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and melted chocolate.
  6. Fold whipped cream into chocolate mixture.
  7. Spread mousse over Oreo crust.
  8. Smooth the top evenly.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours.
  10. Decorate with crushed Oreos.
  11. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

Chill the dessert overnight for the best texture and flavor development. Always use cold cream when whipping, as it creates a lighter and fluffier mousse. Be careful not to overmix the mousse, as this can cause it to lose its airy consistency. Finely crushed Oreo crumbs help create a firm and stable base that holds together well.
